Baroque and Wine

This immersive evening at SML Fine Wines will feature the talent of Roanoque Baroque, a group made up of accomplished musicians with a passion for bringing the masterworks of the ages to the community in an approachable way. As you might guess from their name, there is a special emphasis on the Baroque period in their repertoire. Performing at this event will be a chamber assemblage of two violins, cello, and harpsichord. Artistic Director, Michael Shasberger, will guide audience members through the program with engaging, historic commentary and anecdotal stories.

Come an hour early to enjoy a complimentary educational wine tasting featuring selections sourced from the same geographical origins as the composers. SML Fine Wines owner, Ryan McFeely, has curated an Old World journey of classically made vintages that will delight the palate and usher you into the world of Bach and Handel through the experience of exemplary European wine which will be available to purchase.

No tickets required, but donations are gratefully accepted in support of the musicians and their matching grant for the acquisition of Baroque-era instruments - which add unique authenticity to their performances.
