Ross Myers worked in the coal mines of Pennsylvania for many years. As a wave of shut downs started rolling across the nation, he found out one day in 2019 that his mine was next on the list.
He and his family decided to seize the opportunity to relocate a bit further south…and when his wife, Leah, found a job with Carilion in Roanoke, they discovered the Smith Mountain Lake area – and promptly fell in love with it.
The big move also opened up an opportunity for Ross to start his own business. During his mining years, Ross would do excavating jobs on the side, and he brings those years of experience to Myers Dirtworks, LLC.
His scope of work includes land clearing, grading, and tree removal along with excavation, and Ross prides himself on giving clients honest and fair assessments of their property needs. He is licensed and insured, and also quite familiar with lakefront property scenarios and the AEP restrictions that come along with them.
When he's not working, Ross (and Leah) love boating with their two children and spending quality family time up at Bridgewater Plaza. The arcade and mini golf are two of their favorite activities to enjoy together!
